God has been so good to us, we are now chasing a target of $5,000 to cover a basic fence around the property, two coats of paint, some ceiling and security lights. That's it. Tiles and ceilings are important--but they can wait!. We have applied for a full certificate of occupation and we will be told next month (March 2012) if we need anything more before we move in. For now, the DTS and FCM guys are commuting daily to sleep in the building for security. This has doubled our cost of fuel for the van, but God is still in control of this part of His Universe too, He will see us through. CATCH THIS UPFRONT!: WE HAVE MOVED THE ADDICTIVE BEHAVIOR COUNSELING SCHOOL DATES TO 1ST OCTOBER-21ST DECEMBER (LECTURE PHASE) AND 2ND JANUARY-22ND MARCH 2012 WILL BE OUR COMMUNITY OUTREACH TIME. We came on a Word from God to bring university level non-formal education to this part of the world. As the statistics come our way were amazed at how wise our God is. Why non-formal? God wants people to love him with their minds, hearts, and souls. As Christian educators, we cannot touch those three areas with traditional formal approaches. We want to engage the intellect and the hearts of our young people and the best way is midway between informal and formal (using the best of both). |

YWAM Livingstone started with three YWAMers; myself (Jonathan), my wife (Jean) and son (Abel) in 2000. This year we have 12 staff and several YWAM volunteers helping with chaplaincy ministries. We are here to facilitate your training and, hopefully, be a part of what God is doing in your life this year. We are excited by the testimony God has established among us for His glory, but we press on for more! We expect exponential growth in the staff and in our students! WE ARE INVITING OUTREACH TEAMS! We are taking on a community school on the age of our town. It has 260 children from grades 1 to 7. We are inviting YWAM volunteer to consider coming to help with outreaches such as this one. The children need football, netball, and volleyball balls for their physical education. Interested in modeling the gospel by being there personally? Contact us and we will put you in touch with the Headmaster. YWAM has been invited to help with outreaches at local churches and we are excited to get involved. There is something that a multicultural team does to break dividing walls which local teams are not able to do. International teams are important in helping us with the numbers and also in waging spiritual warfare by demonstrating unity in the body of Christ. Lastly, we are a renewal center. If you want to come out with a team to seek the Lord in a "desert place", we are not the quietest bunch of people but we will be there to pray with you! |
